Meet Marlyn

Estate Planning Lawyer, Marlyn Shulz
California & Texas Estate Planning Lawyer

BACKGROUND, EDUCATION, AND PRACTICE

Marlyn Schulz received her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2016, having been named on the Dean’s List throughout her scholarship, as well as placing in the semi-finals in Appellate Advocacy. She received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut in 2013, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and in California and serves her clients as an Estate Planning Lawyer.

Prior to starting her career as an Estate Planning Attorney and working in Trust Administration, she worked with Riordan & Horgan, a criminal appellate firm in San Francisco. There, she used her knowledge of social justice issues to inform her work with the wrongfully convicted in both the California state courts, as well as in Federal appellate practice. She continues her social justice work with a robust pro bono program, regularly taking on clients from Lone Star Legal Aid.

Marlyn is working towards completing her LLM in Estate Planning and Tax and is a member of the Texas Bar College. She considers it one of her highest honors to put her hands to work ending the cycle of poverty by helping families plan for their futures. She truly believes that when people are given the tools and the opportunity to succeed, success is soon to follow.
